AI teams

For the purpose of implementing AI in education and developing AI policy, functional teams have been established to work for short periods of time (or more structurally) around a particular question. The AI teams deliver practical tools and are all part of the AI holistic framework education and the AI roadmap. More AI teams will be added in the future, which can then be found on this page.

Below, we introduce the current teams.

1. AI Literacy Steering Committee and Working Group

AI Literacy focuses on operational literacy of students and teaching staff including educational support staff. We take our UU AI ethical code of conduct and the AI Literacy requirements of the EU AI Act into account. We apply the UNESCO AI competency frameworks for students and teachers as our base.

The AI Literacy steering group aims to safeguard and direct the guidelines, implementation and quality of AI literacy within the UU. This is done in close collaboration with the AI Literacy working group.

AI Literacy Steering Working Group

This working group is still in formation. Involved in educational development are:

2. AI Pedagogy core group

  • How do we ensure that AI adds value and enriches rather than impoverishes the learning or teaching experience?
  • And even more fundamentally: What is the pedagogical foundation of AI in our educational model?

The members starting the AI Pedagogy pillar are:
