This page contains information about AI for teachers at UU: teachers, Endowed Chairs, visiting lecturers, internship supervisors, examinors, course coordinators, PhD candidates in their teaching roles, etc.

Since the introduction of AI such as ChatGPT, teaching staff are facing additional challenges. The AI policy is intended to provide clarity and frameworks in which situations AI can be embedded in our education. The AI policy is not limited exclusively to so-called Generative AI (such as ChatGPT, MS Copilot, Claude, Perplexity etc) but includes all possible AI systems and tools used in our education (including internships) in accordance with the European AI Regulation. This could also include possible high-risk algorithms and even AI hardware.

The AI policy is developed in according to an AI roadmap based on the UU holistic framework education. In it, attention is given to everything that is going to be necessary for the responsible and ethical implementation of AI in our education.

If you are interested in AI tools and would like to participate in testing, please sign up using . We will put your name on a list and contact you when there is something to test. Based on your interest and availability, you can then decide on a case-by-case basis whether to participate or not. Of course, we will not share your name with others.
