Events
These are the events organized by the Center for Science and Culture to connect the public and research(ers):

Studium Generale
Studium Generale organizes free lectures and talk shows on current social and scientific issues. Students and other interested parties are made to think in conversations with researchers.

Betweter Festival
During the Betweter Festival, we fill TivoliVredenburg with a quirky mix of talks, interviews, art installations, film, music and live scientific research. Together, researchers, artists and visitors explore the questions that matter.

Weekend van de Wetenschap
Every year during the national Weekend van de Wetenschap (Science Weekend), Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 opens its doors to everyone. Visitors can discover the versatility of research and experience how science contributes to the world around us.

Alle Scholen Verzamelen
Alle Scholen Verzamelen is an annual citizen science project for elementary schools throughout the Netherlands. Researchers enlist the help of school children to work together to solve a research question by collecting data.

Meet the Professor
During Meet the Professor, research duos from Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 hop on their bicycles to visit elementary school classes in the city and region of Utrecht. This gives pupils a realistic picture of research and researchers.

Breaking Science
During Breaking Science, PhD students and postdocs have the opportunity to practice and improve their pitch skills. In an intensive training program, young researchers learn how to convey their stories in a powerful and understandable way, and compete against other participants on a stage.

KennisKnetters
During Kennisknetters, TivoliVredenburg transforms into a children's science festival full of tests, experiments and mini-lectures. Children from 8 to 14 (and their supervisors) experience in a playful way how fun and surprising science can be.

Zoek het uit! On Tour
With Zoek het uit! On Tour, museum educators from the UMU (Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Museum) travel into Utrecht neighborhoods. Children for whom the step to university is a big one are introduced to research in an accessible and fun way.

Wetenschnapps (XXL)
Twice a year, the Centre for Science and Culture organises Wetenschnapps: short, powerful inspiration sessions for university staff who engage a general audience in research.
