Zoek het uit! On Tour

Science comes to you! With Zoek het uit! On Tour we go out into the neighborhoods, so that children for whom the step to university is (still) too big, can get acquainted with science in an accessible way. Because at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ we think it's important that all children can follow their curiosity - no matter where they live.

Science is coming to you!

What does that look like?

Knowledge makers from UMU (Universiteitsmuseum Utrecht) come to different neighborhoods in Utrecht with a cargo bike or van full of brushes, hammers, teeth, skulls and scent jars. Children will go exploring and get a glimpse into the world of science through various activities.

We also hold several pilots with collaborative partners such as the Makine Education Center and the Brede School Utrecht. There we search together with children in specially developed teaching programs for answers to questions such as: What do researchers actually do? And in what ways can you all be smart?

Everyone is welcome and admission is free!

Last summer, during 'Zoek het uit! On Tour' 260 children were reached at ten community events in Utrecht neighborhoods such as Overvecht, Leidsche Rijn and Lunetten. With this program we reach children who do not (yet) know what university is.
