In 2001, Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ instituted the position of ‘Distinguished ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Professor’, aimed at outstanding researchers with an interdisciplinary appeal and breadth of vision. Distinguished ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Professors are given the freedom to implement innovative forms of education and research.
