Preparation PhD Defence
Completing your PhD is a moment to celebrate! At Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, the PhD defence ceremonies are held in the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Hall in central Utrecht. During the ceremony, you will defend your thesis before a Doctoral Examination Committee and pledge to uphold academic and research integrity. At the end, you will receive a diploma in Latin, an English translation, and a legally valid confirmation of your Doctoral Degree in English. Only one original degree certificate is issued. If you applied for the GSLS Training Certificate, you will receive that as well.

The Beadle's office of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ is responsible for the smooth running of Phd defences, inaugural lectures and other academic ceremonies and guides you through the final stage.
