Garden Caf茅 Botanica
Garden Caf茅 Botanica is located in the entrance building of the Botanic Gardens. From the sunny terrace you overlook one of the largest rock gardens in Europe and the historical Fort Hoofddijk. Surrounded by the breathtaking botanical wilderness, Garden Caf茅 Botanica is perhaps Utrecht's best-kept secret.
At Garden Caf茅 Botanica as well as in the shop you can pay by pin or credit card only.
Food and drinks
Enjoy delicious cake, organic sandwiches and fair trade coffee on the sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful Fort Hoofddijk.
Reserve a picnic bag
You can also have your lunch packed for a picnic in the Gardens! Reserve a vegetarian picnic bag a day in advance (until 12 AM) at info@tuincafebotanica.nl.
Opening hours
The Garden Caf茅 is open every day between 1 March and 1 December from 10 AM to 4.30 PM. For lunch, the kitchen is open between 11.30 AM and 3 PM.
Reservations
Reserving a table is not possible but there are beautiful spots for lunch and plenty of picnic tables throughout the Gardens in case the Garden Caf茅 is full. If you like to use catering services for a group, please notify us well in advance. If desired, you can reserve a space through the Botanical Gardens. You can also rent the Garden Caf茅 through the Botanical Gardens for a reception or drinks from 5 PM (after the Gardens have closed).
Shop
Our shop in the Entrance Building is the place to complete your visit. We sell books, including a number of , and lots of nice souvenirs for young and old. You will also find special outdoor plants and (organic) seeds with us to get started in your garden. Please note, there are often very nice discount promotions!
