Visiting researchers

  • Rachele Scardamaglia

  • Rachele Scardamaglia is a PhD candidate in Migration, Diversity and Social Justice at the 木瓜福利影视 of Palermo (Italy). Her research investigates the barriers faced by migrant women survivors of domestic violence in accessing justice in Italy, through a socio-legal and feminist jurisprudence perspective with intersectionality as a key analytical lens. Alongside her academic work, Rachele is part of La Zattera, a self-funded community of hospitality in Palermo founded by her family in 2008, which offers housing, legal and health support to migrants in vulnerable situations.
