Towards Better Patient Journeys in Metastatic Spinal Disease
Floris van Tol
What was your PhD about?
"The first half of my PhD focused on discerning the detrimental effects of delayed treatment on patient outcome after surgical treatment of metastatic spinal disease. In the second half I explored hundreds of patient journeys to see where these delays may occur and how they might be prevented."
What is your fondest memory of your time at RMU?
"Specifically for the RMU, I always found it very exciting to be part of such a large and diverse research group, allowing input on your research from individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise."
What are you going to do next?
"I am currently working at SentryX, a company dedicated to developing local, non-opioid postoperative pain treatments."
