Partners
Teamwork is the key to directing organizational accomplishments towards societal objectives.
The interdisciplinary character of Regenerative Medicine Utrecht is extended into academic and industrial partnerships. Close cooperations with Dutch health foundations and patient organizations help to incorporate a societal perspective in the direction of our work.
Strategic Partners
Together with Eindhoven 木瓜福利影视 of Technology, Wageningen 木瓜福利影视 & Research, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, and UMC Utrecht, we combine a broad range of scientific expertise to tackle social challenges in health, energy, food, and sustainability. The UMC Utrecht strategic program RM&SC is initiator and actively involved in the Living Technologies program.
Thematic Community UU Life Sciences At Utrecht Science Park, over 4.000 life science researchers are interconnected in six Strategic Theme Life Sciences communities which serve as the base for scientists to meet and support each other. One of those thematic communities is Regenerative Medicine.
RegMed XB is a virtual institute of Dutch and Belgian public and private partners to develop regenerative medicine solutions to health challenges. RegMed XB鈥檚 role is bridging research from the lab to translation, achieved through robust collaboration within the RegMed XB moonshots. This involves patenting promising ideas, providing regulatory and valorization education, and connecting top experts.
Networks and Consortia
Ombion is a national centre for valorizing and disseminating animal-free innovations and expertise.
This consortium (NWO Summit) explores how smart, bioinstructive materials can guide the regeneration of tissues and organs inside the body. The goal is to understand how these materials behave in real biological environments, and to steer those interactions in ways that lead to safe, lasting, and scalable regenerative therapies.
This consortium was brought together to advance tissue and organ regeneration approaches with the use of instructive biomaterials.
INFRA StemCells is transforming research through customized services and training on hiPSC and ASC technologies
Innovation Center for Advanced Therapies (ICAT) is part of the RegMed XB Pilot Factory and assists in setting up a translational workflow that connects preclinical research to patient care at large scale by providing the opportunity to simulate, refine, and standardize manufacturing processes for advanced therapeutics.
Oncode Accelerator accelerates cancer drug development by integrating AI, organoids, and patient cohorts to reduce risks, costs, and time to new therapies.
Orgestra is Joint Doctoral network that trains thirteen doctoral candidates in developing
personalized disease models using stem cell-derived organoids for rare diseases, including the lung and kidney
diseases, Cystic Fibrosis and cystinosis.
KIDNEW aims at developing ground-breaking technology that lays the foundation for implantable bioartificial kidneys.
Project CORDIAL coordinated by Karin Gerritsen (UMC Utrecht) aims to clinically validate and further develop a new, portable peritoneal dialysis (PD) system for renal patients, called WEAKID.
MEFISTO is a patient centred solution for the personalised regeneration of osteoarticular tissues.
38 expert pediatric and adult nephrology centers in 12 European countries providing healthcare to more than 40,000 patients with rare kidney disorders.
HIT-CF Europe aims to provide better treatment and better lives for people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and rare mutations.
A non-profit project of building a clinical care network for all rare diseases of the respiratory system.

Spin-offs
ArthroSave developed the KneeReviver, which unloads the damaged knee joint by putting the joint surfaces on a short distance.
CART-Tech developed CARTBox, which provides a solution for cardiologists to target the LV lead to the optimal location.
Cresco Spine鈥檚 ambition is to establish a new standard in surgical treatment options to cure, rather than salvage scoliotic deformities, using flexible and dynamic implants.
