UCU’s annual Alumni Internship Programme (AIP) offers UCU students a variety of summer internships with professional organisations in the Netherlands and internationally. These internships, offered and overseen by UCU alumni employed at these organisations, include both English and Dutch-spoken opportunities and are open to all students.

AIP interns gain valuable work experience, direct alumni mentorship, and often receive 'customary compensation'(a small payment). Details about the Alumni Internship Programme and available summer internship positions are typically communicated to students via email and social media in early Spring.

The application period for internships is now closed as we prepare the opportunities for 2026. A new round of applications will open in February. Please check back then to view the available internships and submit your application.

The Alumni Internship Programme is a great opportunity for students to experience the process of applying for a position in a low-pressure yet realistic way.

Past Internship Opportunities

• Yoni | Marketing and Sales Intern The Marketing and Sales Internship at Yoni offered students the chance to contribute to a purpose-driven fem care brand by supporting market research, social media, campaigns, and partnerships while helping the company expand its reach across Europe.
• Critical Brains | Internship The Critical Brains Internship gave students the opportunity to work directly with the founders on content development, market research, marketing, business development, and website improvement, while gaining mentorship and practical experience in applying critical thinking skills in a real-world setting.
• Oscar Westra van Holthe | 3 student positions (Researcher, Journalist, Marketeer) This opportunity offered three different internships: as a student researcher reviewing literature on the psychology of conflict, as a student journalist conducting interviews and case analyses, and as a student marketeer supporting communication and branding efforts in the mental health field.
