EMI-advanced test scores

The following minimum test scores are required for admission to programmes requiring EMI-advanced level.

Please note:
*IELTS Academic and TOEFL iBT (including Home Edition) cannot be more than 2 years old.
†IELTS Online and IELTS One Skill Retake are not accepted. Any English language test not mentioned in the overview is not accepted.

Exemptions

You are exempt from the English language requirements for EMI-advanced Bachelor programmes if:

• You obtained your secondary school diploma in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, UK, USA or South Africa;
• You obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma (with English A or B as final exam subject at either Standard or Higher Level);
• You obtained a European Baccalaureate Diploma with a final grade of 5.0 or higher for English L1 and 7.0 or higher for English L2;
• You obtained an Aruban VWO-Diploma with a final score of 8.0 or higher for English;
• You obtained a Bonaire VWO-Diploma with a final score of 8.0 or higher for English ;
• You obtained a Curaçao VWO-Diploma with a final score of 8.0 or higher for English;
• You obtained a St. Maarten VWO-Diploma with a final score of 8.0 or higher for English;
• You obtained the Surinamese VWO-Diploma with a final score of 8.0 or higher for English;
• You obtained the Austrian Reifezeugnis (Prüfungsfach) with a final score of 1 for English;
• You obtained the Belgian Getuigschrift Algemeen Secundair Onderwijs with a final score of 80% or higher for English;
• You obtained the Danish Bevis for Højere Hændelseksamen (HHX)/Bevis for Studentereksamen (STX)/Højere Forberedelseksamen (HF) med overbygning /Højere Teknisk Examen (HTX), with at least English B up to and including the final year;
• You obtained the Finnish Ylioppilastutkintotodistus/Studenteksamensbevis/Matriculation Examination Certificate (final exam subject, Basic or Advanced Syllabus);
• You obtained the Diplôme du Baccalauréat Général, Baccalauréat Français International (BFI), Section américaine or britannique, with a final grade of 14 or higher for English;
• You obtained the German Zeugnis der allgemeinen Hochschulreife (Abitur) with:
  • a final grade of at least 13 in the Qualifikationsphase (Q4) for English as Grundkursfach;
  • a final grade of at least 11 in the Qualifikationsphase (Q4) for English at advanced level (erhöhtem Anforderungsniveau (eA)/Leistungsfach);
• You obtained the Icelandic Studentprof of the Mentaskoli, with the Maladeild/Staerofraedideild profile (up to and including the final year);
• You obtained the Norwegian VitnemÃ¥l videregÃ¥onde opplaering (at least ENG1007);
• You obtained the Swedish Gymnasieexamen/Yrkesexamen (with English up to and including the final year);
• You obtained the Swiss ²Ñ²¹³Ù³Ü°ù¾±³Ùä³Ù²õ³ú±ð³Ü²µ²Ô¾±²õ/Diplôme de Maturité/Attestato di Maturitá (with English up to and including the final year).
