In high school I liked physics and mathematics, so I was looking for a study that involved these subjects, but in some sort of applied way.

The concluding InGOS conference, hosted by the IMAU at Utrecht ľ�ϸ���Ӱ��, was a successful and inspiring event with more than 100 scientists from 20 countries.

In September 2015 20 new students, of which seven from abroad, started the two-year master programme “Meteorology, Physical Oceanography and Climate”.

In 2010 I obtained my PhD degree after four years of research at IMAU on regional climate modeling of the Greenland ice sheet.

In August 2016 we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Utrecht Summer School on Physics of the Climate System (USPC).

In 1966 a group of enthusiastic pioneers founded the Institute for Meteorology and Oceanography Utrecht (IMOU).

A few weeks ago I was in New Orleans to take part in the Ocean Sciences meeting of the American Geophysical Union.
