Teaching
We offer education at Master鈥檚 level in two Master's programmes: Professional Translation and Literary Translation - the only full, dedicated Master's programmes in translation studies in the Netherlands. Building from a shared core of competences and subject knowledge, the two programmes allow for specialisation in particular areas of interest.
Professional Translation
The Master's programme Professional Translation carries the prestigious accreditation. This means we are part of a Europe-wide network of university Master's programmes in translation, in partnership with the European Commission Directorate-General for Translation. Our programme emphasises the diversity of translation domains, and its hallmark is the emphasis on state-of-the art translation technology (we are a university partner of ), and a substantial internship.
Literary Translation
The Master's programme Literary Translation is embedded in a rich tradition of literary translation at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, with strong industry connections. Staff members and alumni are on the editorial board of and regularly contribute to the journal , and our collaboration with the (Expertisecentrum Literair Vertalen, ELV) offers close contact with the industry, and opportunities for further development.
