Consultancy Project (2023–2024, 2024–2025, 2025–2026)
In this consultancy project within the Global Sustainability Sciences program, student groups carry out consultancy work for a real stakeholder. Stichting NPUH acts as the client and offers a variety of topics, including sustainable mobility, disconnection of the water system, and agroforestry.Innovation for Public Value (2023–2024)
In this course, student groups write an analysis report including recommendations on how to strengthen the implementation agenda of the "Blauwe Agenda" (Blue Agenda). The Blue Agenda is a collaboration among stakeholders on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, working toward a robust and future-proof water system.Chemistry and the Environment (2023–2024, 2024–2025, 2025–2026)
In this course, approximately 75 students conduct measurements of surface water quality across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The results are shared with land management organizations in the area.

As a preparatory assignment for international fieldwork, around 10 students address four sustainability topics related to the Utrechtse Heuvelrug: drought, natural capital, multifunctional land use, and cultural history.Environment, Behaviour & Communication (2023–2024, 2024–2025, 2025–2026)
In this course, bachelor’s students develop a communication campaign on themes related to the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, such as sustainable mobility and greening the gardens of local residents.Scientist in Policy (2024–2025, 2025–2026)
Bachelor’s students write a policy report on two themes relevant to the Utrechtse Heuvelrug: the introduction of large wildlife and recreation zoning.Ecological Field Research (2024–2025, 2025–2026)
In this course, bachelor’s students conduct field measurements related to biodiversity and soil conditions. This is done in four landscape types on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug: forest, heathland, peatland, and grassland.Tor Modal Shift (Wageningen ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ) (2024–2025)
In this course, students from Wageningen ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ conduct an assessment of sustainable mobility in the Kwintelooijen area near Rhenen, and formulate a policy recommendation for the municipality of Rhenen.
