The Global Cold War group has initiated and is engaged in various projects in the areas of research, teaching and collaboration, which aim to further the synergy on Global Cold War scholarship and reach a wide audience of students, teachers, scholars, early-career researchers and policy-makers.

Cold War Research Network

The Global Cold War group participates actively in the , which was founded by representatives of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 (Laurien Crump), the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam (Ruud van Dijk), and Leiden 木瓜福利影视 (Giles Scott-Smith), to bring together researchers and students who wish to share ideas on the latest approaches to Cold War history and its place in 20th-century international history.

The Routledge Encyclopedia of the Cold War

Most members of the Global Cold War group are part of the editorial team of the new online edition of the , with Ruud van Dijk as senior editor. Benefiting from the recent research of newly open archives, this work examines the military, economic, diplomatic, and political evolution of the conflict as well as its impact on the different regions and cultures of the world.

International Collaboration

The Global Cold War group greatly values international collaboration and has recently embarked on a collaboration with , led by Professor Sara Lorenzini. To further the quality and scope of research on the Global Cold War, both groups plan to organise joint seminars and lecture series, participate in conferences together and embark on teacher exchanges.

European Summer School on the Global Cold War

The Global Cold War group hosted the 10th edition of the at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 from 1-3 September 2021. For the first time the event spotlighted the global dimensions of the conflict, inviting graduate students and early career researchers to bring forward the voices and perspectives of often-overlooked actors - from the Soviet Union and Europe to the Global South.
