Lili’s Proto Lab celebrated 1 year of being open.

We celebrated our first birthday with a community event that showcased projects big and small. We aimed to make this accessible for 3D printing whizzes and technophobes alike. Whether people came to us with new plans each week or had never set foot in the lab, they were invited to come along and see what we had been doing.

This week, we gave a tour to the digital heroes challenge participants. At first, I think it was probably just another show and tell from the Uni, but we ended up getting them more excited when we started to let them play with some of the prototypes we have around the lab (see the difference in expression between picture one and two). Just goes to show the extra benefit of giving people an experience that they can take part in rather than just listen to or watch. Thanks to Amy van Dijk for reaching out and getting us involved with the program!

Op 18 april vond de 'Doing Interdisciplinarity in Youth Research Day' plaats. Een kans om jeugdonderzoekers uit andere disciplines te ontmoeten, of andere professionals die met kinderen of jongeren werken.

Research is vital to improve the quality of care and improve the health of pregnant women and their babies. However, the priorities of women and health professionals are not always reflected in the research agendas set. Therefore, Joyce Brown and colleagues are working on a research agenda concerning this in Ghana.
