Veerle Brenninkmeijer is working as an associate professor at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, Department of Social, Health and Organizational Psychology, The Netherlands. Her teaching and research relate to well-being, motivation and performance, in the context of work. Her main line of research focuses on the career development and well-being of young workers, in the transition from studies to work. In another research line, she focuses on how individuals can create a better work environment for themselves and coworkers. In her former job, Veerle worked as a researcher/consultant for the Netherlands Association for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). In this job she focused on long-term sickness absence, reintegration and activation of the unemployed. She wrote her PhD thesis at the 木瓜福利影视 of Groningen on social comparison and burnout.
