Tom Wils is Assistant Professor in Geography and Education. Through this role he acts to enhance the understanding of and interaction with non- or more-than-human nature within geographical issues. He co-creates learning experiences with students in human geography, spatial planning and teaching geography. His research focuses on learning to negotiate complex, wicked issues typical of the Anthropocene. These are issues in which mankind is destabilizing System Earth without substantial concern for long term dynamics, often resulting in geopolitical damage and risk.
