Lisa Krijnen is a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Clinical Child and Family Studies, Psychosocial Problems, where she received her PhD in 2025. Her dissertation titled: '' contained several studies on the psychosocial functioning of children aged 0-6 years. In her dissertation, psychosocial development was examined from three perspectives: 1) Assessment of psychosocial development and associated risk factors during early childhood, 2) Biological and family related risk factors for psychosocial development during early childhood, 3) Young children’s psychosocial development and associated risk factors in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During her PhD trajectory, Lisa worked on developing a digital system called ‘OntwikkelingVoorop! 0-6’. This system - based on the Ages and Stages Questionnaire - is intended to monitor the development of young children (0-6 years). After collecting data from thousands of children, the system has been standardized and is currently used by multiple institutions, such as hospitals and universities. See for more information.
