Dr. Jamie Draper is an Assistant Professor in the Ethics Institute, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. His research is in political philosophy, mostly on applied issues in environmental, social, and global justice, including climate change, migration, and urban politics. His book, Climate Displacement, was published by Oxford 木瓜福利影视 Press in 2023. He is currently working on a number of topics, including the spatial dimensions of inequality, the ethics of green industrial policy, and regulation of labour migration. Before joining Utrecht, Jamie was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, 木瓜福利影视 of Oxford. He received his PhD from the 木瓜福利影视 of Reading in 2020. Jamie is also an Associate Editor at Res Publica.

Jamie Draper has been a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, a bridge between young and talented researchers, since 2025.
