Proposals should include collaboration with multiple disciplines and have a well-defined focus – e.g. the initiation of research projects that contribute to the development of new transition paths, methods and theories with clear deliverables such as writing a research proposal for a larger funding application and bringing together innovative new strategic consortia. The maximum budget for each proposal is between 10,000 and 30,000 euro, project time is 2019-2021.

Proposals for candidate visiting scientists/professors should be aimed at strengthening the Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ sustainability community with complementary expertise contributing to the described ambitions of Pathways to Sustainability. Candidates should be of exceptional international standing and the visit should aim to build long-term relationships with renowned research universities or institutes. The maximum budget for each proposal is 15,000-30,000 euro, project time is 2019-2021.

Proposals for the development of educational activities or modules which may be effective in support of sustainability leadership development at different levels of accomplishment, which may also include PhD education, postdoc skills training and master classes oriented towards professionals. The maximum budget for each proposal is 10,000-20,000 euro, project time is 2019-2021.

Proposals for workshops, conferences or other types of academic network meetings, aimed at building stronger communities in support of sustainability expertise and progress, preferably with active stakeholder involvement. The maximum budget for each proposal is 2,000-5,000 euro, project time is 2019-2021.
