The role of mother鈥檚 milk smell on mother-infant bonding
Smell is incredibly important for baby鈥檚, who鈥檚 primary sense to orient towards food, security and away from danger is olfaction. That means that the communication between mother and child also primarily relies on smell, not only from mother to baby, but also the other way around: from baby to mother. In this line of research, we investigate the details of this relationship, with a focus on the role of mother鈥檚 milk on communication.
