Are you someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment where HR, finance and coordination come together? Join us as a Business Operations Coordinator! At the Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ School of Economics (U.S.E.), you will work closely with a fellow coordinator to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. In this role, you report to the Managing Director.
Your job
In this role, you focus on supporting human resources and finance processes. You are a key contact for researchers at U.S.E. and act as a liaison between them and colleagues from Human Resources, Finance & Control, and the Research Support Office. Many lines of communication run through you, and you are the one who connects them.
Your tasks include:
- supporting the preparation and management of the annual teaching allocation and workload distribution for academic staff;
- assisting managers with the application and implementation of HR policies, and handling personnel changes in the HR system;
- carrying out administrative, financial and organisational tasks, such as FTE calculations, arranging and coordinating personnel changes, financial support and budget transfers;
- advising and supporting researchers in HR and finance matters when applying for projects.
Your qualities
As Business Operations Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for staff within U.S.E. This means that strong social and communication skills are essential, that you can switch easily between tasks, and that you manage priorities effectively. Besides, you bring the following qualifications:
- You have at least a higher vocational education (HBO) level.
- You are flexible and can handle unexpected situations or shifting priorities.
- You work accurately, with a keen eye for financial details and compliance with regulations.
- You take a proactive approach and enjoy identifying and implementing improvements in business processes.
- You show initiative, are solution-oriented and comfortable seeking out information independently.
- You have a good command of both spoken and written English and Dutch.
Our offer
- An employment contract for 12 months with the prospect of a permanent employment contract;
- a working week of 28- 32 hours and a gross monthly salary between €3,708 and €5,057 in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 9 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU));
- 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus;
- a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave and flexible terms of employment based on the CAO NU.
