"By tightening up annual monitoring, you are not only able to achieve better and long-term research results, but you also make a direct contribution to the development of clubs."

Professional football organisations (BVOs) are playing an increasingly important role in society. From health and inclusion to sustainability and social cohesion: clubs are actively committed to public value creation. To strengthen this role, Sport & Society has been working with the Eredivisie CV and Keuken Kampioen Divisie since 2021 on the development, professionalisation and monitoring of the social policy of professional football clubs.

The partnership was extended in 2024 until 2030 and focuses on increasing the social impact of professional football. Every year, impact reports are drawn up that provide insight into the results of social programs and clubs are supported in the development of their social strategy.

The collaboration has led to various initiatives, including the development of a course for CSR managers of professional football clubs. This programme, entitled 'Leadership in Sport: social value(s) in professional football', started in 2024 and focuses on strengthening competencies in the field of impact-oriented work and strategy formation.
