Prof. Hajo Reijers

On 10 June 2025, Prof. Hajo Reijers joined the board of the Faculty Club. Hajo is professor of Computer Science at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, where he heads the Process Science group. He is also a part-time professor in the Process Analytics group of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven 木瓜福利影视 of Technology (TU/e). His research and teaching focus on Business Process Management, process mining and Robotic Process Automation.

Hajo works closely with organisations in the service and healthcare sectors, as well as with international scientists. He strongly believes in the importance of the Faculty Club as a connecting place for an internationally oriented university.

What motivates him to join the board of the Faculty Club?

The Faculty Club is such a beautiful place to meet, right in the historic centre of Utrecht. I enjoy going there for lunch with colleagues or business associates, or just for a drink. I feel particularly privileged when sitting in the garden on a sunny day. Membership also gives me access to a network of faculty clubs worldwide, including in England and Canada. This is a nice bonus, as I regularly visit universities abroad.

I have been a member of the Club since I was appointed to Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 on 1 January 2019. As a professor of computer science, I focus on how organisations can improve and automate their work processes. Rapid digitisation makes this a dynamic and fascinating field. Although my workplace is located at Utrecht Science Park, I regularly seek out the (historic) atmosphere of the city centre and the Faculty Club.

The Faculty Club is such a beautiful place to meet, right in the heart of Utrecht's historic centre.

Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 has a strong international focus. Many of my colleagues come from all over the world to conduct research here. It is therefore great when there are activities that are accessible to people who do not (yet) speak Dutch. This makes the Faculty Club even more inclusive and diverse. I look forward to working with the other board members and the programme committee to further develop this.

With his commitment and broad academic perspective, Hajo brings valuable experience and insight to the Faculty Club board.
