ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ dinner for companies

Only together can we ensure that even students without a financial safety net can fulfil their future dreams. The ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Dinner brings our Utrecht business partners together during a fantastic evening at the most beautiful location in Utrecht. By attending, you contribute to our scholarship programme. You are most welcome!

The details

  • By buying a table, you and your organisation directly contribute to a full scholarship for students.
  • A table seats eight people and costs €10,000.
  • Are you considering sharing or offering a table? Then contact us for the possibilities.
  • You invite your own guests to the table, the Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Fund will be happy to help you with the invitations.

Experts

Staff and students of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ help organise and fill the evening out of sympathy for the fundraising goal: scholarships for students without a financial safety net. A number of experts are also prepared to give a lecture on location at parties that make a substantial extra donation in addition to sponsoring a table. We cordially invite you to let us know if you are interested in taking up this extraordinary offer. Some of them have been able to keep their agenda free for this evening, so if you would like to have this expert at your table as a 9th guest, we can organise this (depending on the enthusiasm, of course).

A guest lecture to thank you for your donation

  • Prof Erik van Sebille, climate scientist and oceanographer, is happy to tell you about his research on how ocean currents transport heat, nutrients, organisms and plastics, and how he uses these insights to help tackle plastic pollution.
  • Prof Daniela Salvatori is head of the Department of Anatomy and Physiology and chair of the Utrecht Transition to Animal-freeInnovation initiative. She leads the Centre of excellence ofPlastination and Virtual Reality. This centre develops models for training clinical skills and procedures, to be used for humans and animals. The centre is therefore a joint initiative of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and UMCUtrecht. Daniela will be happy to come and talk (preferably in English) about the development of digital three-dimensional (3D) and holographic models ("avatars") for studying anatomy and practising clinical and surgical procedures. Daniela is unfortunately unable to attend on 7 June.
  • Gerard van Buiten is the hortulanus of the university's Botanical Gardens. He is team leader and an important link between the gardens, office, research and education of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. With his infectious passion for the botanical gardens' special collection, Gerard takes a group on a discovery tour of the gardens. Gerard is unfortunately unable to attend on 7 June.
  • is associate professor at the UMC Utrecht. She is the founder of the First Generation Fund and advocates greater understanding of the barriers young people may face in their studies and careers simply because they do not come from a family or environment where studying and further education is common. She will be happy to discuss this with you and, using very concrete examples, can make you feel like no one else where thresholds lie and how to tackle them. Unfortunately, Charisma is unable to attend on 7 June.
  • Prof.dr.ing. Jos Malda leads the research group focusing on biofabrication and design of biomaterials, or 3D printing of human tissues. This bioprocess technologist is happy to explain how his lab is working on being able to repair worn or damaged organs in the future.

Is your topic not among them? Let us know. I am sure we can find another special expert for you to support this recruitment campaign.
