UU-staff can now share their opinion on open science

The transition to open science is an important objective of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Therefore the university wants to know how university employees feel about open science. To what extent is open science already part of their work? Up until 13 May, employees, both in academic (WP) and administrative roles (OBP), can fill in the questionnaire. Employees at UMC Utrecht are also invited to fill in the questionnaire.

Open science is a culture change that is about making science more accessible and trying to connect the university with society. It is a change that revolves around how the university works. Think of publishing, how the university connects with citizens or promotion policies for example. Open science touches almost all aspects of work at the university and employees themselves: does everyone feel rewarded and recognised?

What is the monitor about?

The questionnaire was prepared by the Open Science programme and a number of UU-scientists.The list contains questions about the kind of work they do, how they feel about open science and what experience they have with it. The first monitor was sent out in 2020 to academic staff. The monitor will be repeated every two years from now on.

Are you an UU or UMC Utrecht employee?

UU and UMC Utrecht employees are warmly invited to fill in the questionnaire. If you have a solis-ID, . If you do not have a solis-ID but you are a university or UMC-employee and you would like to fill in this questionnaire, please contact openscience@uu.nl. Filling in the questionnaire takes fifteen to twenty minutes. This is possible up until 13 May. Individual answers will not be shared. The results will be processed in a report and possibly some scientific publications that will be available for everyone.
