A look back at the Rechtsstaat Parade - Rule of Law Parade

A team from the Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 School of Law has organised, "de Rechtsstaat Parade" (Rule of Law Parade) at the beautiful Neude Library in Utrecht on September 15. Initiators Hanneke van Eijken and Marc Hertogh aimed to bring together scholars, policymakers, judges, civil society organisations, and Utrecht residents to discuss the important topic of the rule of law. The event was free and open to everyone and made possible by the research theme Institutions for Open Societies.
It was an afternoon filled with lively debates, speed dates with researchers and civil society organisations. There was a panel with writers' and poets, a panel on innovation in the rule of law, a democratic fitness session with Bureau Burgerberaad, a youth panel, inspiring mini-lectures, and a humorous closing performance by De Speld, with a show themed around the rule of law.
Many thanks to everyone who joined us!
And for those who missed it this year, the team is already thinking about a sequel...
