Marc Hertogh is Distinguished Professor Social and Institutional Dimensions of the Rule of Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance (REBO) of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. He is also Professor of Law and Society at the 木瓜福利影视 of Groningen.
Central themes in his research include: law and the rule of law from a citizen's perspective, the perceived legitimacy of government action and the social effects of legislation and court decisions.
Marc Hertogh is PI of the NWO project CITIZENS-LAW. Towards a New Approach to Strengthen the Rule of Law in Europe: Incorporating EU Citizens' Perceptions of Law and he was Deputy Chair of the Dutch State Commission on the Rule of Law.
