Dr Rick Nouwen (Programme Coordinator)
Rick Nouwen is Associate Professor at the department of Languages, Literature and Communication and the coordinator of the Linguistics research Master's programme. Rick's research focus is on formal, experimental and computational semantics & pragmatics, especially where these disciplines meet philosophy of language and/or cognitive psychology.

Professor Aoju Chen
Aoju Chen is Professor of English Linguistics: Language Development. Her research is concerned with both fundamental research questions on English linguistics with a focus on prosody, the role of prosody in communication and acquisition of prosody before and after birth in a first language and in adulthood in a second language, and the issue of how the acquisition of linguistic abilities in a first or second language interacts with the learner鈥檚 development into a socially functional individual in a familiar or new culture.

Professor Roberta D'Alessandro
Roberta D'Alessandro is professor of Linguistics / Syntax and Language Variation and Head of the Linguistics section at the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication. She is a member of the Institute for Language Sciences (ILS), where she coordinates the research group Language Structure: Variation and Change.

Dr Anne-France Pinget
Anne-France Pinget is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Language, Literature and Communication (TLC) of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Her research is embedded within the Institute for Language Sciences (ILS) and spans three domains: sociolinguistics (sound change, imitation, language attitudes), sociophonetics, and language acquisition (acquisition of variation, language policy, fluency, accent, attitudes).

Professor Henriette de Swart
is Professor of French linguistics and semantics. She is also affiliated to the cognitive artificial intelligence programme. Her research focuses on cross-linguistic semantics, especially in the area of nominals, tense and aspect, negation.

Dr Tessel Boerma
Tessel Boerma is a researcher at the Institute for Language Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities and at the 木瓜福利影视 Medical Center Utrecht. Language development in challenging situations, for example due to environmental factors or congenital conditions, is a central them in Boerma's research.
