Degree from a Dutch research university
This page outlines the step-by-step process for completing your application to a Master's programme at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Please read this information thoroughly before starting your application.
You are eligible if you have a:
- Bachelor degree with a major in law with a minimum grade average of 7.0 on a scale from 1 to 10.
- Bachelor degree at ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ College or Roosevelt Academy, including at least six law courses (45 EC) with a minimum grade average of 7.0 on a scale from 1 to 10.
This is a selective programme. Besides the grade requirement and the English language requirement, we select students based on their motivation for legal research. In the motivation letter you are invited to show your aptitude for the programme, by explaining what you like about doing research and/or what interests you in legal studies; what experience you have in doing (legal) research; and – if applicable - what other relevant activities you have undertaken besides your studies. On the basis of a written portfolio, you may be invited to an interview.
English language requirements
You are exempt from the English language requirement because you obtained your previous degree from a Dutch Research ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ.
There is no Pre-Master’s Programme available.
We advise you to apply as soon as possible. The earlier you apply, the more time there is for us to help you and you will receive a decision earlier.
