Career prospects

During the Master鈥檚 programme, you will be challenged to determine which career perspective best fits your talents and interests. We will guide and support you to focus your programme on obtaining all the skills required for a certain career path.

Academic Careers 

For graduates interested in a research-oriented career, the Master鈥檚 degree offers the opportunity to start a PhD research project, leading to a doctorate degree in any of the related topics at a university in the Netherlands or abroad. There are a number of such positions available within the Centre for Advanced Gaming and Simulation, and our staff maintain extensive contacts with other universities. Graduates may also find challenging positions in research departments of international companies.

Non- Academics Careers 

Graduates with an interest in software development are well qualified for jobs in many different companies, in such fields as:

  • Multimedia
  • Consumer electronics
  • 3D web design
  • Game development
  • Industrial computer vision
  • Medical image analysis
  • Automated cartography
  • Geographical information systems
  • 3D interactive systems

Their work could involve the development or supervision of new products and applications. Graduates are also qualified for jobs in consultancy or can establish a start-up company in an emerging market.

Career Services

Careers Day

Once a year Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 organises a . The Careers Day offers the opportunity to sign up for workshops and trainings, and to meet recruiters at the careers fair. It鈥檚 also possible to join a job application training or have your resume checked.

Women in Information and Computing Sciences (WICS)

WICS aims at connecting all employees and students who identify as female working in Information and Computing Sciences. By establishing a network between junior and senior female members of the department, initiating activities to increase the number of female students in Information and Computing Sciences, raising awareness on issues faced by women, and increasing the opportunities WICS is working towards this goal. You鈥檙e welcome to join WICS, contribute ideas and actively participate.

Bring your knowledge to life in the classroom!

Do you want to inspire young people and do something that truly matters? Become a teacher by completing the one-year Leraar voorbereidend hoger onderwijs (LVHO) after your Master鈥檚 degree. You鈥檒l be qualified to teach in all levels of secondary education (vmbo/havo/vwo), mbo and adult education. Please note that the programme is in Dutch.
