Please note: the overview below shows the scholarships available for this programme at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ only. Since European Governance is a double degree programme, and only the second year will take place at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, it is not possible to already apply for a scholarship for your year at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ at the time of your application for European Governance.
Students of European Governance will be informed about scholarship opportunities and how to apply for their year at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ during the first year of the programme.
Tuition fee
The tuition fees for the academic year 2024-2025 are €2,530 and €2,601 for the academic year 2025-2026 for full-time students (statutory fee).
Special circumstances
The tuition fee may differ from the fees mentioned above in a few special circumstances:
- You have already obtained a master's degree or a similar degree from a Dutch institution of higher education. There are a few exceptions to this situation; more information is available here.
- You have enrolled for only part of the academic year. Please contact for more information.
- You have already paid the statutory tuition fee to another institute of higher education in the Netherlands for the same academic year. You may be eligible for a reduction of the tuition fee at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Please contact for more information.
Funding your studies
If you meet the requirements regarding age, school type and nationality, you can apply for so-called studiefinanciering.
Please note: The European Governance programme is registered as a one-year master’s programme in The Netherlands, since students of this double degree programme first follow a year of study at one of the partner universities abroad. This means that you can only apply for one year of studiefinanciering, i.e. for the year of enrolment at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ.

The tuition fees for the academic year 2024-2025 are €2,530 and €2,601 for the academic year 2025-2026 for full-time students (statutory fee).

Tuition fees
The tuition fee for this programme € 20,043 for the academic year 2024-2025 and € 20,605 for the academic year 2025-2026 a(non-EU/EEA institutional fee).
The tuition fee may differ from the fee mentioned above in a few special circumstances*:
- you have Surinamese or Swiss nationality
- you receive a (for refugee students in the Netherlands)
- you meet the nationality requirement for a government study grant from
