Class-Conscious Academics Network launch w/Mick Matthys

to

We are excited to invite you to the public launch of the Class-Conscious Academics Network with a lecture by Dr. Mick Matthys and a panel discussion with Dr. Kathrin Thiele, Nina Köll, and Myrte Spaargaren. The event will take place on February 10th, 2022, from 16:00-18:00h, on Teams.

Working-Class Salon: Classy Talks & Classless Drinks

The launch event will be the first edition of the CCAN’s monthly Working-Class Salon: Classy Talks & Classless Drinks, an awareness-raising and social event. The salon offers a platform to discuss research and personal experiences on class issues in academia, and a social space to meet and build a network with students and academics with shared backgrounds. The salon will take place every second Thursday of the month, so block your calendar on February 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 9.

Covid regulations allowing, future events will be hosted on location in Utrecht. English is used as primary language, but some speakers may opt for Dutch, and participating in Dutch is always welcomed. We aim to better accommodate both languages when meeting in person again.
