Nina Köll is an Assistant Professor of Media and Cultural Studies, Fellow of the co-founder and former Chair of the Diversity Committee at ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ College Utrecht. Previously Nina taught at the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Amsterdam (2010-2014), Erasmus ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ College (2017) and Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ (2015). Nina also worked as a teaching assistant at New School ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ and the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Innsbruck.
As a researcher, Nina Köll is embedded at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ's Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON) pursuing a PhD on Updating Cinema, 2010-2020.

Before returning to academia, Nina spent several years working in film production in New York, as a writer for the Austrian broadcast and various journalistic publications, and a cultural producer/curator in film and digital culture in the Netherlands. Between 2009 and 2016 Nina was a digital culture advisor at the Dutch Media Fund and from 2018-2021 a member of the digital culture committee at the Dutch Creative Industry Fund. Nina has also advised individual artists and filmmakers on various projects (Olfa Benali 'N'Être', Arzu Kökeng 'Roof', Zalán Szakács, Timothy Gerstmeijer) and has moderated numerous events and panels (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, Goethe Institute, Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ).
