Adobe Indesign: Scientific Publications & Layout
Target group
This course is designed for GSLS PhD candidates in the later stages of their research who are facing challenges with layout and publication, such as their thesis book, a scientific poster, CV, or a figure. No previous InDesign experience is required. We will start with the basics, but quickly move on to more complex layouts and publications. While this course can be a great follow-up to the introductory Adobe InDesign course taught by Vincent van der Vliet, it is not mandatory.
Course description
In this course, you will master the use of InDesign to produce attractive and functional layouts for all your design needs. Through a deep dive into the program's tools and a series of custom exercises, you will learn to create everything from a complex thesis book to a striking poster or professional CV. You will also discover how to seamlessly integrate photos, illustrations, tables, and text.
Note: Adobe InDesign is primarily for creating publications and layout files. If your goal is to create vectors and build infographics, consider our other course: Adobe Illustrator –Scientific artwork & Infographics.
Full of valuable tips that saves you days of work of figuring them out yourselves! The course gave me confidence that I could manage the layout of my PhD thesis book and that it also can be fun instead of only stressful.
