Education moves us forward

Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 attaches great importance to teaching quality, educational innovation and teacher development. To recognise and appreciate its teachers, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 has been presenting the Teacher Awards for 30 years. During the on 6 March, the Teacher Awards 2025 will be presented. The winners will also be highlighted during the Dies Natalis on 26 March.

  • In order to encourage lecturers to continuously improve their teaching and subsequently appreciate them for it, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 has granted Teacher awards since the 1994/1995 academic year.

  • 389th Dies Natalis

    On 26 March, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 will celebrate its 389th Dies Natalis. This year, it will be focused on the year theme Healthy Planet.

Developments in education

New developments in education may require new ways of teaching, in which our teachers need to be supported. Two concrete innovations in education this year are the updated educational model and the arrival of the new Learning Management System Brightspace, this system will replace Blackboard. Read more about what this means for education.

  • The educational model consists of the educational vision of the UU and the translation of the vision into the Graduate Attributes and the design principles, which describe how we have collectively decided to organise our education.

  • From September 2025, all initial education at UU will take place on Brightspace, a modern and user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS). As a teacher, prepare in good time by getting started with Brightspace now.
