My PhD research project focuses on the Protozoa and Plant health. Protozoa are unicellular eukaryotic organisms present in virtually all soil ecosystems they encompass a tremendous functional diversity and play an important role in the functioning of agricultural soils. In this project I will address protozoan predators as key taxon that can be exploited to boost the functionality of the rhizosphere microbiome at the service of plant health.
