Vivian Tunn is a Circular economy and sustainability professional specialised in circular business models. Most recently, Vivian worked as a project manager and senior research circular economy at Statistics Netherlands. She managed projects within the Dutch program monitoring and steering the circular economy. During this time, she built an extensive network in the Dutch circular economy policy scene. She was also invited to join an expert group that reflects on circular economy policy targets. Vivian defended her PhD thesis entitled “Circular Business Models for Consumer Markets” at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Technical 木瓜福利影视 Delft in 2020. Her PhD was part of a H2020 funded Marie Curie Innovative Training Network Circ€uit. She holds an MSc degree in Innovation and Technology Management from the 木瓜福利影视 of Bath, UK. Vivian joined the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, as an Assistant Professor in January 2022. She teaches and researches at the intersection of sustainability and innovation.
Having worked in and with various organisations, including UNICEF, DHL, Mercedes-Benz, Shell, and local energy providers, Vivian aims to combine theory and practice in her research to have an impact beyond academic circles. Her research interests lie in the area of circular and sustainable business models. She is especially interested in exploring how to ensure that such business models contribute to sustainability and in consumer adoption of and behaviour in these business models.
