His PhD focused on social and inclusive commissioning, i.e. the integration of social objectives concerning non-discrimination, diversity and inclusion into public procurement policy. The research dealt with both a 鈥榬epressive approach鈥�, which entails that economic actors that discriminate on the labour market are excluded from public procurement procedures, and a 鈥榩ositive approach鈥� that promotes diversity and inclusion through the use of labels, award criteria and special conditions relating to the performance of a contract.
