Tingting Liu is a PhD candidate in Economic Geography at the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning. Her doctoral research examines the geographies of digital innovation, with a particular focus on expansions of Big Tech firms. In addition to analyzing spatial patterns, she also investigates the regional impacts of digital innovation, such as how it shapes regional capabilities in responding to crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Her research interests include digital innovation, Big Tech, R&D offshoring, technological change, and industrial policy.
