Stefanie is a veterinary diagnostic imaging specialist(ECVDI), teacher and researcher for all animals, but with a special interest in equine. She is head of the division of Diagnostic Imaging of the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Clinic Utrecht, dept. Clinical Sciences since 2020 after finishing her PhD " Imaging of the equine neck; with a focus on Intervertebral Disc and Anatomic Variations". With the enthousiastic team of veterinary diagnostic imaging specialists and specialists in training (residents and interns), technicians and animal care takers as well as supporting administrative staff, the team of Diagnostic Imaging has an important and central role in patient care (inhouse and referred), teaching and research.
Stefanie enjoys being a part of the large team of veterinary specialists of the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Clinic in companion animals and equine, teaching specialists in training as well as students and progressing patient care (both for humans as well as animals) with clinical research. She is currently Programm Director of the ECVDI residency program at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, and amongst others member of the Veterinary Faculty Master admission committee and the Image Community of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ.
The ‘European Board of Veterinary Specialisation’ ( is responsible for the training, examination, and accreditation of veterinary specialists in Europe. An EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist has completed a three-year postgraduate program followed by an examination after studying Veterinary Medicine. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine employs EBVS specialists from various fields. Additionally, the faculty is a recognized training institute for various specializations.
