Dr. Tina Stavrinaki is Assistant Professor in Human Rights and International Law with the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights (SIM) and the International and European Law Department, and researcher of RENFORCE and EQUALS. She currently serves as elected Member of the (Vice-Chairperson 2022-2024 and Rapporteur on the ). She teaches International Human Right Law, Racial discrimination and Health, UN CERD Law Clinin and Gender and International Law.

Her research covers UN human rights complaint procedures and monitoring mechanisms, bias motivated crimes, hate speech and the administration of justice for victims, freedom of expression and the right to education under the ECHR, and social rights, in particular related to to the right to health. She litigated on behalf of the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights the , in which the European Committee of Social Rights recognized the right to a healthy environment and how environmental violations in the energy sector breach the rights to just, safe and healthy working conditions. 

She has an extensive experience with the National Human Rights Institution and the UNHCR in Greece. She co-founded and coordinated the ,  recognized as best practice in recording hate crimes, supporting victims and building synergies between human rights institutions, civil society, and national authorities. In this context, she has trained  lawyers, humanitarian staff, civil servants, and law enforcement officials in preventing and combatting racial discrimination and in identifying victims of hate crimes.
