S眉meyye Ko艧kulu earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bo臒azi莽i 木瓜福利影视, graduating with high honors in 2017. She then pursued a master鈥檚 degree in Developmental Psychology at Ko莽 木瓜福利影视, graduating with high honors in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Aylin C. K眉ntay. Her master鈥檚 research focused on the relationship between parental input and child language development, culminating in her thesis titled "Maternal Behaviors and Joint Attention Mediate the Link Between Maternal Education Level and Infants鈥 Language Development." From 2020 to 2024, S眉meyye undertook her PhD at the Department of Education and Pedagogy in the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Supervised by Prof. Elma Blom, Dr. Hanna Mulder, and Dr. Eva van de Weijer-Bergsma, her doctoral research explored the connection between teacher-child interactions and the development of executive functions in early to middle childhood. Her dissertation was entitled "Nurturing Young Minds: Investigating the Role of Teacher-Child Interactions in Shaping Executive Function Development from Early to Middle Childhood鈥. During her doctoral studies, S眉meyye taught courses and supervised master鈥檚 students. She published her research in international peer-reviewed journals and presented the research findings at national and international conferences. Since October 2024, S眉meyye has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Communication, working on the project "One Plus One Is More Than Two: What Lies Beneath the Foreign Language Learning Advantage of Child Bilinguals?" under the supervision of Dr. Elena Tribushinina.
