External Relations Manager, Faculty of Humanities
In collaboration and consultation with relevant colleagues, I contribute to the faculty's vision and objectives regarding social impact as developed by the Vice-Dean for Impact and Research.
Within the faculty, I do this by:
- Coordinating impact support and stimulating processes in line with the vision and objectives of the impact policy;
- Supporting scientists and research groups in translating trends into possible external collaborations;
- Providing insight into the faculty's existing network of external relations;
- Approaching private and public organisations with the aim of entering into new collaborations based on the core tasks of education and research with social impact.
In addition, I am committed to:
- Maintaining and utilising cooperation between science, society and industry;
- Representing the faculty at relevant external activities and meetings;
- Identifying (new) organisations and/or funds that, based on their specific objectives or areas of focus, could be important in increasing the impact of the faculty's education and research;
- Contributing to alumni policy in collaboration with the UU Alumni Office. After all, alumni are our most important ambassadors for the importance and value of research and education in the humanities and a bridge to potential social partners;
- Involving alumni in the faculty, contributing ideas for possible alumni events and fundraising among alumni.
And finally:
- I organise and advise the Spending Advisory Committee of the Friends of Humanities Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Fund, which is a named fund under the Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Fund;
- I coordinate the procedures surrounding the expenditure of a number of other funds held by the Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Fund that are relevant to the faculty;
- I initiate and organise special meetings for relations, donors and potential partners.
