Dr Paschalis Pechlivanis is Assistant Professor in History of International Relations at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ and the managing coordinator of the in the Netherlands. His research interests include the (Global) Cold War, US Foreign Policy, post-1945 Balkan History and new diplomatic history approaches. He is currently working on a history of the Balkans viewed as a Cold War microcosm.
He studied Law (LLB) at Aristotle ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Thessaloniki (2009), International Relations (MScEcon, Distinction) at Aberystwyth ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ (2012) and he obtained his PhD in History from the European ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ Institute (EUI), Florence in 2017. Paschalis has been Visiting Professor at the Netherlands Institute of Athens (NIA), Research Fellow at the Research Institute of the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Bucharest (ICUB) Romania, Visiting Researcher at New York ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ (NYU) and he has previously taught at the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Florence, Italy.
