My name is Maythira Sriwichai. I am a PhD candidate at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, working under the supervision of Francesca Sangiorgi and Peter Bijl as well as Mei Nelisson.
My research investigates ocean and cryosphere variability in the polar regions using marine palynology 鈥� the study of fossilized remains of marine organisms, dinoflagellate cysts, as proxies for reconstructing past environmental and climate conditions. I aim to understand how marine and atmospheric systems responded to natural climate shifts in Earth's history.
In addition to my focus on polar paleoceanography, I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and field-based science.
