I'm a lecturer in Language and Communication in the Departement of Languages, Literature en Communication.

I am also a researcher in the research group of Indigenous Studies at the 木瓜福利影视 of Helsinki (Finland) and have external affiliations with the research unit of at the 木瓜福利影视 of Helsinki, the and the research group at the 木瓜福利影视 of Leuven.

Together with Hendrik De Smet, I write the language blog (in Dutch) and I am associate editor of the Open Access journal .

I am a general Board member of the Dutch Association for Applied Linguistics ().
