Martine Broekhuizen is a researcher and educational consultant at Educational Development and Training (O&T). She has extensive expertise in early childhood education and primary education, with a special focus on equality in education, parent-(pre)school partnerships, and cultural diversity and multilingualism in educational settings. She is also involved in various projects related to Team Learning in early and primary education settings.

Alongside research and advisory projects on these topic, Martine provides training on effectively supervising PhD candidates at several universities in the Netherlands and Flanders. She also is a teacher in the course ‘Inclusive Education and Care’ within the Bachelor's program ‘Pedagogische Wetenschappen’ and supervises thesis and internship students in the Master's program ‘Youth, Education and Society’ (YES).

 

Over the past few years she has co-supervised five PhD-candidates:
